Buying a Car
Buying a Car is probably the second most expensive purchase most people make, the first being a house, so it’s worth getting it right.
Buying a used vehicle is serious business. By making you aware of the following advice, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) can help you reduce the risk of buying a stolen vehicle.
DVLA is replacing all existing blue registration certificates (V5C) and will issue a new red V5C for all vehicles by November 2012. When you receive the new red V5C you must use this for future dealings with DVLA or the Post Office®.
